What is your view on using sunbeds?

For example, if you are going on holiday and have not been in the sun for about a year and plan on going on a sunbed for 10 x 3 minute sessions.

Good or bad idea?

Well you would think that was a sensible idea as you have not been in the sun for ages. I guess it's a little difficult to get any sun living in this country.

Sometimes when I go on them, i get an itching on my torso for the first few times. Does anyone know what causes that?

The use of sunbeds is a topic that instigates much debate and as it is reported that skin cancer is on the increase in the UK, I would suggest that you read the link below.

I read the link and took note of the advice given.

I have just returned from holiday and had a short course of sunbeds before I went. I used Piz Buin all day cream (30 spf) and got a nice tan. I didn't burn this time either.

I usually use the Piz Buin all day stuff on holiday but I still usually burn. I guess, for me, going on a sunbed for 10 3-minute sessions worked out well.

I am pleased you read the article and also that you didn't burn your skin when on holiday. remember to keep your skin hydrated with a moisturising lotion and drink at least 5/6 glasses of water a day.
