To use Reiki on yourself and others you need to be attuned to the Reiki energy by a certified Reiki Master. The Usui system is taught in four stages, First level, Second level, Advanced level and Master/Teacher level. Each level is complete in itself and students will become Reiki certified on completing the first level. At each level students receive energy attunements, which are the very core of Reiki and are extremely effective in aligning your energy system to the life force energy.

Post course work is required at each level; however there is no time limit for completion. It is not essential that you become a practitioner (level 2), nor is it necessary to complete all four levels to benefit; you may become attuned to Reiki purely to help yourself and family. It is entirely up to the individual in relation to their own particular needs.

Reiki Level 1
At this level you receive one attunement. It is focused mainly on opening up the physical body so that it can accept (channel) greater quantities of the life force energy. On a practical level you will also be taught how to give a treatment, to yourself, to other people, animals and plants. At this stage you are getting used to the change in your energy and as such any treatments given to others are considered as practice and should not be charged for. To provide Reiki treatments to others professionally it is recommended you complete level 2. Providing treatments for others involves more than just having people lay on a couch, preparation and follow up is important which will be covered in level 2.

Reiki Level 2
At this level you receive a further attunement. During training you will explore and gain understanding in the language of symbols and the powerful effect they can have on the unconscious mind. Specific techniques are taught which will enable you to send healing back into your past, send Reiki forward in time to influence future events, and how to send absent healing.

You will receive a comprehensive manual at each level and certification will be provided on completion of post course work.
